About

The music industry is in stagnation and its condition needs to be addressed. Even though the music industry is facing a dilemma, our musical society continues to evolve as artists and consumers embark on a quest for this industry’s next new development. The music industry has become so estranged from its audience and, in MatuldaBlu Rose Records’ opinion, too devalued to repair its financial slump. The music industry has not yet become extinct due to the uninterrupted creation of abstract artistry which permits its survival.

A major concern that stands between MatuldaBlu Rose Records’ beliefs for an improved music system is the music industry’s loss of value and its lingering influences on the matrix. As we peer back through time, there seems to be a mystery which has caused the music industry’s misfortunes. The creation of music was once a part of a billion dollar enterprise. Now technology has taken over a big portion of that, which has clouded our original understanding of hip hop culture based on experiences from the 1990s.

MatuldaBlu Rose Records longs for tradition in music and the originality that created our taste in music. There is an obvious need for a new development and a new journey which replaces corruption with ideals.  MatuldaBlu Rose Records’ greatest aim is to reinsert culture into the music industry in a way that feeds the need of recording artists, delivers the scope of musical genesis and gives back to the community.

MatuldaBlu Rose Records does not exist for just fame, power or recognition. We stand to make a difference and we will not fall short of our mission. We have studied the demographics of the music industry and its current struggle which puts the music industry in a dilemma. According to research findings, this gives MatuldaBlu Rose Records no other choice but to take the lead and to make the best effort to bring the music industry back to its truth and historical purpose.

As owner/ recording artist at MatuldaBlu Rose Records, I started out young in the music industry and have always thought outside of the box, which is the reason for my exclusive journey. Like many music moguls, I started out as a promotional intern at Motown Records, after spending time reading books on starting a record label while I was in elementary school. Through Motown Records, I became the presidential assistant at Everywhere Promotion & Marketing and was able to acquire extensive hours of hands on experience behind the scenes in the music industry. I assisted WuTang’s manager with the female group Venom; I worked with Duck Down Records, Rakeem’s manager, artist Gemini The Gifted One and was eventually told that I had to pay my dues before I received any recognition.

Eventually, I retired from this position and soon after discovered ASCAP. I then became a publisher and writer under the name Triminomical Hip Hop. As an aftermath, I became a short term contestant in Russell Simmon’s Def Poetry Jam contest. In 2002, I made a verbal agreement with the president of Koch Records, to start a record label. It did not work out. Since then, I was encouraged to pick up where I left off in the music industry, after receiving royalty checks for a song I wrote, published under ASCAP. All of the abovementioned experiences made me who I am today and put MatuldaBlu Rose Records on the map.

MatuldaBlu Rose Records was founded in 2015. As a female business owner, I have had to battle with the masses.  I wear several hats as the brain behind MatuldaBlu Rose Records. I’m the label’s first signed artist and representative. I’ve communicated with a number of local and national government officials and offered my services in order to help change the music industry’s dilemma, as I am devoted to making a difference.  I am empowered to make change and be the spirit that stands between the hardship of the music industry and what the music industry needs to lead. My plan is to have a far reach and help as many artists as possible.  We strive to transition the current music industry that looms of money, drugs and sex into a more cultural business and movement that achieves more than just stardom.
